Built for kids. Run by parents.
AICON is designed for children from day one, and parents set the rules. Kid safety and children's privacy law shape every feature before it ships.
What we commit to
Parents sign up first
A parent or guardian creates the account. Kids under 13 can't use the app without verified parental consent, as required by COPPA.
A coach, not a companion
The avatar talks about training, effort and the sport. It is not built to be a friend, and it's designed to steer conversations back to coaching.
Chat that matches age
Ages 6 to 9 choose from pre-set questions with pre-written answers. Parents control open chat for ages 10 to 12. Teens get open chat with guardrails.
No private messages
No one can direct-message your child. Community chat is one moderated room, and filters block phone numbers, emails and social handles.
Less data, by design
We collect what the app needs to work and nothing we'd be uncomfortable explaining to you. We don't sell children's data.
You can see and change it
The parent dashboard shows your child's activity. You can review, change or delete their information at any time.
How we approach COPPA
COPPA is the US federal law that protects the privacy of children under 13 online. Here is what designing for it means in AICON.
- Notice. A clear children's privacy notice before any child data is collected.
- Verified consent. A parent must verify and consent before a child under 13 can use the app.
- Parent rights. Review, change or delete your child's information, or withdraw consent, at any time.
- Data limits. We collect only what a feature needs and keep it only as long as needed.
- No behavioral ads. No advertising to children and no sale of their data.
- Safety response. Chat is monitored by filters for harmful or abusive language, with a protocol for escalating serious concerns to parents.
Train safely: check with your child's doctor before starting a new exercise program, and supervise younger kids during workouts.
